i have not been posting a lot i have been doing a lot i just thought i would let u know what i hit at the comp i was every happy with my 1 12 did a lot more then i thought and i had it up as loud and as hard as it would go and it did not blow :) thats a good thing i hit a 142.8DB !!!!!!!! i hit a lot harder then a lot of pep that had 3 and 4 subs i don't know what they where doing if my 1 dose that they shuld do a lot more then me the pep that ran the comp said that is very inpressive for what i got whell talk to u all later

The numbers are a result of a quality install, effecient sub/amp power usage and matting to keep the sound inside the cabin.

Also you have to figure in air space, most people do not realize that having 3,4,6 etc...subs can cause cancellation, if you have a small vehicle and the space is limited, or the subs are not staged just right in the area, there is cancellation.....I have hit 160's w/ one 18" sub going against 4 12's 3 15's 8 10's, which were only hitting mid 150's..It is all about enclosure design, staging, and the quality use of power, most speakers hit their xMax at well below the rated max power, suchas W3v2's, they are rated at 300 RMS, 500 max, yet can reach xMax at just below 300 wRMS. MTX 9500 can reach xMax at 800 wRMS and they have a max rating of over 100o watts.
