Aftermarket HU's should always be grounded to a bare metal ground at the floor pan or fire wall. (Not the harness grounds) Another common source of noise, is improper gain settings on an amplifier. Usually, we set the amp gains to match HU output voltage. Most new HU's are 2-4 volts at the RCA's. If the amp is set below that, we amplify noise and the audio signals too. A 3rd common issue, is installing the RCA lines too close to the main power feed cable. They work best when separated by a few feet, inside the cabin. When RCA's and power feed lines are bundled together, some will have noise. (Especially in the mid/highs) Try those first and see if you get things back in order.
