2 subs, both pioneer: TS W306DVC, TS W3004SPL12 the second one has a much higher RMS rating...one of these will be running of of an older amp, Punch 250 (rated 250 watts RMS @ 2ohms) is the 3004 too strong for the amp, will it still be able to hit well? Thanx Replies (1) Ash on 04/15/2006 13:44:09 Why two different subs? Anyways, you are talking about the 250.2, right, not the 250.1? It is a 2 channel or is it a monoblock amp? If it is the 250.2, then there exists a problem. Those subs were meant to create a 2 ohm or 8 ohm load. However, usually when ran on a 2 ohm load, it's use is best coupled with a power matching monoblock amp. When you have a identical pair, then they are in a series/parallel connection to a 4 ohm maximized amp or 1 ohm maximized amp. Do you have any other subs or amps?
