There are two power wires that are in the HU's wire harness. The main + which is usually red and a + memory (yellow).

If you pull the radio back out and look at the wires and their markings you should see this. The red should be connected to the accesory power which comes on when keyed (run or accesory position). The yellow connects to a constant (non-switched) + power source to keep the memory when the car is off. Through this wire power is always current, even when the car is off.

It is possible they have been ran together to a switch power source as some mistakenly do. It is a simple fix, if a aftermarket radio harness has been used. The harness should be color coded and marked as well. If not, a simple check with a test light or multimeter to find the proper wires will fix it as well.

If you are willing to try and/or need some more help, just holla. Just be carefull not to touch the wires to any others (mainly ground) as the constant will be powered always.

Before ya do any of that, push that little key on the left that says "caps lock". now pry it off the keyboard, and pitch it.

the factory constant wire in the truck is orange, so it needs to go to the yellow on the deck. The yellow wire in the truck, goes to the red wire on the deck.

Welcome aboard, no yellin please.........
