Where did you wish to add the other speakers and what function will they serve? (Midbass, Midrange or tweeters?)

The 4x6" speakers would be most useful in the dash. In the doors, you can modify the mount to handle 5.25"-6.5" MB speakers. However, external amps are recommended for the front stage speakers and subs. Here, a 4 channel for the 4x6's and MB speakers are the best route. You can run the rear speakers off the HU or power them as well with an external amp.

A simpler way to get the job done, Use the 4x6 door speakers for Mids and highs only. Amping is best and use the HPF setting about 150 Hz. The rear speakers can be amped as well and be used as full range speakers and the HPF set here at ~80 Hz. This requires a 4 channel amp as well. If done correctly, you should be able to get a nice mix/blend with no additional speakers or passive filtering.

What speakers & amps do you have now? (Make & Model #'s please)
