Folks I'm perplexed as many people in the San Diego, CA are are. Read here: http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20060404-1102-bn04boom2.html This morning, at nearly exactly 8:53 PST, we all (165,000 people over 50 miles) heard an earthquake. However, NOTHING showed up on the richter scale. Not even a popcorn fart. This earthquake, NOT, happened to shake light fixture over 50 miles, and in the case of my office, actually make the wall crack a little bit. In any case, I show a shake map from the USGS to have an earthquake reporting at within 3 minutes of this boom, and later, the newspaper also reports it. What I'm wondering is, if the military didn't set off any artillery (which would have left a severe mushroom clouds), or, if there were something aircraft related, someone would have known. My guess, and it's merely a guess, is that it was electromagnetic, and although emf tends to interefere with electronics, this one didn't. Why? My speculation is that the frequency was within the audible range--only affecting stereo speakers and long spans of materials. Kinda like when a kid pulls up to a stop light and you can feel his car stereo rumbling. Let's see if we can't find the cause/solution to this story. More later. IN the meantime, here's the Shake maps from the US geological service. The nearest quake is in Ridgecrest, CA some 200 miles away. Even if the 2 simultaneous events were related, there is no seismic activity to support that relationship. Any other ideas? PS I don't think anyone actually heard the wave that went through the county, rather, what we hear was a harmonic. How this transferred into waves that shook walls is beyond me. Audible frequency was similar to a guy hauling a heavy engine motor on a 4 wheel cart--at 90dB. Replies (17) lewis on 04/5/2006 01:04:52 sorry about that next time ill turn down my radio...(i wish) ttocs on 04/5/2006 08:54:43 put the joint down, and pass it over hereSMILE...... swez on 04/5/2006 09:06:02 If it was a Military test of some kind, it is likely never to come out in our lifetimes. It would be classified as Top Secret and they will not admit ANYTHING about it. Oh, I did look at the Obituaries and did not find your name in same. That means you are not dead. All that considered, it's a good day in SanDiago huh? Swez MrBrownstone on 04/5/2006 12:47:51 ttocs, DUDE!! I burnt it down to the paper, so there's not special tobaccy for you. I'm going to admit, hearing the military not 'knowing' what it was is quite foolish. Either they are lying or really don't know. Either way, it was extraordinarily loud, and surface/above ground based as it didn't even move seismic meters. Heck, resonance of Swez in the bathroom after a batch of Mr B's Chili reads a 2.3 on the richter scale. I don't disbelieve Swez's theory, however, no matter what it was, I'd like to believe it was waveform in nature. I have never seen sound waves propogate through a 15+ mile radius, yet noone knows the source. I guess the old addage is true, BASS IS NON-DIRECTIONAL END CAR AUDIO LESSON PS I'm so spooked by this, I've been doing research on it. I believe that if it was a pinch, someone knows. I've just never heard of a pinch in the audio frequencies before. swez on 04/5/2006 16:49:25 It's called "Plausable Deniability" in Military/Govt. speak. A need to know basis is often employed here and many of the lesser "Brass" will not be made aware of anything that is deemed a military secret. Even most "Top Brass" will not be informed if they need not know. This way, they can easily field questions from the press and say with all honesty, " I don't know of any such tests or technologies". I am willing to bet that the Military could indeed, be performing tests of some nature that can emmulate a regional earthquake-like disturbances. How interesting it would be, to entertain massive destruction in a very localized area w/o the need for bombs, manned aircraft . If you read up on things like Project Haarp, it is evident that technology is getting dangerously close to non-radioactive weapons, (sonic and ultra-sonic waves) that can create havoc to any part of the world that is not yielding to US pressures or ideologies. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLG,GGLG:2005-41,GGLG:en&q=Project+Haarp Swez MrBrownstone on 04/5/2006 18:27:32 Thats for high frequency waves, not those in the audible range. Interesting though. swez on 04/5/2006 18:35:27 Correct, but if you do more digging on some of the older Tesla projects back in the 30's, you may find some very interesting ideas that are now being revisited too. Swez PS Check your e-mail JMB on 04/5/2006 22:47:02 Oh what a wonderfull world we live in. The second in command of china is visiting here in New Zealand this week, to talk trade deals. As china's economic muscles develop, the small countries of the south pasific (including NZ ) are going to increasingly feel the flexing of chinese power in the reigion. The thought of china becoming the next super power ( its very possible ) excites me and scares me at the same time. MrBrownstone on 04/23/2006 15:13:30 Once again, nobody knows. http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20060423-9999-1n23bigboom.html At this time, I'd like to hypothesize more further re: the electromagnetic theory. Anyone? MrBrownstone on 04/23/2006 15:15:46 PS Swez I think I have an interesting theory. Next fireside chat. MrBrownstone on 04/28/2006 01:20:35 http://www.signonsandiego.com/news/metro/20060427-9999-1n27boom.html As suspected, low frequency transmission....yet, somehow, origininating from the military secret area. ttocs on 04/29/2006 01:15:20 you put a new system in didn't ya? Or did teal get his fired up? Its funny thinking back that there was a morning a while back when my buddy and I were outside infront of my house one morning, and thought we heard a couple of sonic booms, or something. It was strange as we could just barely hear it, but felt it as though we were hearing it....... swez on 04/29/2006 08:08:46 I have a hunch that the Navy is doing some sort of testing out in the Pacific Ocean. There is a restricted area of 1 million sq miles, (Area 291) where the military conducts "Black Projects" testing. Some folks say it was the legendary project "Aurora", a super-sonic aircraft that has been developed to replace the space shuttle program. Others say DARPA is working on a new technology to determine the possibilities of super-sonic flight, with minimal sonic boom effects that can be eventually be used to over-fly populated areas w/o major sonic disturbances. Keep digging, Swez PS This is nothing new. Einstein therorized many complex physics scenarios back in the 20's and 30's. One of them was the possibility of time travel and space travel of many light years (186,000 MPS x 1 year) in a very short time, via what we now call "Worm Holes" and space/time voticies. Wonder how far we have advanced on this technology in the past 70 years? MrBrownstone on 04/29/2006 16:17:56 Interesting. We'll have to chat, Dr Svetzenheimer. ttocs on 04/30/2006 12:03:39 I told this to a buddy of mine that was in a sub for the nave for 8 yrs. He said that they have been doing experiments for years that could have caused this..... I looked back at the calender and I am pretty sure that we did hear it, IN PHOENIX............. I know last year when they launched a rocket with a satalite it made for a neat little show for us.. But it would take alot of energy to get the sound waved to travel that far inland.... ttocs on 04/30/2006 16:25:32 I got ahold of my friend that was at my house when we heard those noises. I am always off at the end of the week so I could not remember what day it was, but he works a schedule that is never the same. He went back and checked when he was off from work, and it was the same day this happened........... The plot thickens... Wonder if they got an EMP werkin??? MrBrownstone on 05/1/2006 11:36:33 If I'm right, the Pentagon will shut this site site down...and me too. :-) Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
