what are the chances the light in the trunk could drain an optima yellow top in about 12 hours?? i wouldnt think its too likely because the battery has seemed kinda weak since we got it out of the shop. we just jumped it and it started right up my gf drove it to work and had no problems with it on the way there...(still waiting to see if it starts again on her break). so if it starts should i worry about it since i fixed the light or should i get the battery tested?? i wouldnt think its the alternator since it ran all the way there. any other suggestions?? You may want to use an over-night trickle charger on the BAT, to slow charge it. But, as long as you found the offending circuit that discharged the BAT and corrected it, it should be fine unless the ALT is not charging properly.
