Slightly timid, but I am excited to introduce myself. I have absolutely NO experience when it comes to the music in my car. Body work, tinting, and the interior changes have all been done by myself. I used books and the internet to school me ( I do need a paint job though). I have been using the same bass tube in my car for years... I am a non conformist and dont want to change but I am considering a box. I want to do it myself, so I can design it to my liking. IWhere do I start? kind of wood? Is there a specific type of carpeting? I have two fifteens and two twelves (kickers & JBL's) I am way to independent. I am hoping to find some brothers in this forum.. Thanks in advance for whatever help anyonce can offer me... Amount of space available in the car for the box, and last but not the least the budget you decided on this box upgrade. Victor.. Ps."" I am hoping to find some brothers in this forum."" .. GRIN hehe GRIN.. swez on 03/12/2006 10:39:09 Yes, we have "brothers" on this forum and even a few "kindred spirits" too. We've been known to go exotic and think outside the box as needed. However, there are certain rules in physics, acoustics and physical space that can only be bent, but not broken. Try to keep that in mind, as we begin to offer suggestions. Welcome to CK, Swez Ash on 03/12/2006 17:05:18 Don't forget the type of music most listened to as this will help determine what type of box and/or tuning. With the skills you posess as you have stated, I'm sure you won't have a problem building what you want. Plus you have come to the most informative & helpful car audio forum on the web. Hope ya enjoy CK! Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
