Hey folks, It's great to see all the new people on the board the past 90 days or so. Keep coming, learn and add inputs as you care to. Many may not know this site is funded by donations and lots of time from Admins, Golds and others participants. As such, it is important to all, that this site is well funded for operations costs. That means bandwidth, service fees and site upgrades done by our "Fearless Leader", Walter Hargrave. CLAP Some long term users at CK, may recall when the site shut down for several months. This left a big gap in free car audio advice and tech support. I, (for one) don't wish to see that happen again. This is why we periodically ask those who have benefited from CK's diverse knowledge base, to ante up and help keep the site properly funded. This is a "not-for-profit" site. Meaning, every dime donated, goes toward site operations, maintainance costs and site expansion upgrades. (bandwidth) This is a discretionary fund for the site Administrator. We now have a positive balance of just under $58.00 and some coin left in the fund. If you have a few spare bucks to toss into the hat, please do so. For those who have saved hundreds of dollars in install fees and obtained quality Tech support for your projects, this is your opportunity to say "thanks" and help with site costs. This is considered as an "investment" in the sites future viability for you and those who come later. Please look at your "piggy banks" and donate as you can. It's the right thing to do! USFLAG Thank you in advance, for all your support! CLAP Swez PS Walter has a Paypal account established for this purpose now. He can also process personal checks and money orders when received. This requires direct contact with Walt via CK Club Mail, to get his mailing address. PSS Walter is a very "behind the scenes" guy and way to shy to ask for donations on his own. However, I am not shy and know we can lose the site if not adequately funded. Let's all do our part to keep a great site well funded in 2006. COFFEE Replies (9) gearhead on 02/15/2006 02:57:27 I'm just dense. What is CK Club Mail? I don't do PayPal, so I'll need to contact Walt to send a M.O.. Thanks. swez on 02/15/2006 08:26:02 Nope, it's not you... my mistake. Club Mail is a beta site available to Golds only right now. Let me get a hold of Walter and figure out the best way to make donations w/o PayPal. I have sent personal checks to him before... just need to see how he wants to handle such matters now. Thanks for the heads up! Swez ttocs on 02/15/2006 15:31:05 swez, you would never make a mistake............... I have donated before, but I am tapped at the moment. I know we have saved people alot of money here by saving $ normally spent on install, and $ saved from not buying bad or overpriced equipment. Even a buck or two helps....... MrBrownstone on 02/15/2006 18:03:39 I lost my old paypal information from 2002, and need to know how to contribute without that. swez on 02/16/2006 06:48:08 Looked at the donation form and see we have PayPal or credit card options. A debit card would probably work too. Try it and see. Am waiting for a response from Walt on how he wishes to handle cash, checks and M.O.'s. When that answer appears, will advise. Swez COFFEE PS Me.... make a mistake? I try my best not too, but... Ohhhh yeah, make lots of them sometimes, and that's one way to learn valuable lessons too. Hopefully, not at others expense either. swez on 02/17/2006 17:00:19 OK, I heard from Walter and he gave me his mailing address for payments via check or MO. If you want to donate in this manner, send me a private e-mail and I'll pass on the info to donate as you wish. swezdp@juno.com Swez Bump to top compvr15s on 03/9/2006 14:10:22 at this time i cant not donate any money, but as soon as i get back to having some extra cash, ill prolly send him 25-50 dollars, gotta keep CK going fellas, too much vital information to be learned and taught here boys swez on 03/9/2006 16:56:27 Great idea and very generous too.
