oooh i love me a panasonic HU, and i don't know much about kenwood except that i don't like their new head units.

Panasonic makes some solid decks for a good price. I would think they have more bang fer the buck.

I like that Panasonic HU so much... din't even bother to look at the Kenwood offering yet.
It uses Class T (Tripath) amp topology for a solid 31 x 4 watts RMS. That is remarkable in itself. Coupled with some high efficiency speakers, who needs a full range amp if using a modest bass engine pkg.?
You have 2 AUX inputs, 9 band EQ, 3 RCA outs with 5 volts to drive most amps just fine and can even filter the rear speaker outs for full range or MB only. Oh, remote control included as well.
I really like the features in the 9 band EQ. It's not a true Parametric EQ, but it does allow each band to have a selected center point and can use the factory presets for ease, or really tweak your system tight with an RTA and vary the center frequencies as desired.
