Hello all,

I need to know if I am connecting the parking brake and the foot brake up correctly. I hookep up the parking brake to a wire connection that i found on the parking brake mechanism (just one wire). And then I connected the other one to a wire from the foot brake that comes on with a test light when the foot brake is pressed.

I am not getting any dvd picture when I do the process the instruction require me to do to be able to watch a movie. This is what it does show)- I/F BOX ERROR.

I am not sure what to do next except for do some lengthy troublshooting. Thanks for any help. 2001 Chevy Silverado

you'll need a toggle swich and a pulsing switch, or you can buy the Peripheral PTR7, which is what i always do. e-mail me at NHenson1@hotmail.com and i'll tell you how to do it.

Wondering? Is this a legal modification in most states? Was under the impression that DVD's are permissable only out of viewing range of the driver, when the vehicle is in motion?

it's legal in kentucky, that's all i know. probably won't be for much longer. i know that more than half of the states it's illegal, but not here just yet.

you know they passed a law here in kentucky banning remote starts?? it's not an actual ban on remote starts, but you cannot leave your vehicle running without a person in it. i saw it on the news the other day, like 20 people have been given tickets for it.

The solution around that is a life size (inflatable) passenger and parking the vehicle so that ticket happy law enforcement officers "think" the vehicke is occupied.

What's the rationale behind this ban?

I have a JVC KD-AVX1 and I hooked the ebrake wire to the ground and the movie works whether the car is in motion or not.

JVC = not a quality product

alpine = QUALITY = better technology = much harder ways to bypass stuff like watching video while driving

LOL, I own a JVC dv-5100, never had an issue with it. It may not be on the same line as alpine, but it is not down with audiobahn either....

I have a Jensing and i know they suck but its been fine to me so far i just wanted to know that if i hook it to the ground wire will it run with or without the brake

yes, and be aware that more then likely you will be breaking the law by watching it while in motion. Best case scenario, you will get a ticket if a cop catches you. Worst case scenario, you will be paying more attention to the video then your driving, and could wreck causing who knows how much damage, or even death..... I have to finish that by saying I have 2 screens in my truck, but they are in the visors. There is a time and a place for everything. I use them on occasion, but not while moving. I have enough on my mind with the drivers in this city.
