quick amp question

Looking at an Orion 3002. I've never heard anything bad about the company, which is now owned by Directed Electronics, who seems to also have a decent rep. the thing is, when deciphering power ratings, I'l generally look at fuses as a quick double check as to overall honesty.
Orion claims 150w x 2 into 2 ohms, or 300w x 1 at 4 ohms bridged. The disclaimer on the spec sheet states an input voltage of 13.8, channels driven into either the 2 or 4 ohm continuous loads at rated THD. All sounds good so far.

Given a 60% typical efficiency on A/B class (300w /.60)/13.8V = 36.2 amps draw.

The amplifier has a single 30 amp fuse, which would give it an efficiency of better than 72% to achieve those power numbers.

Is Orion putting us on? Or are they really that well designed?

orion is not what they used to be for some time now. I would use a 10yr old orion amp before I went out and bought a new one.
