sub and amp selection for f250 single cab

I need a little imput for the sub and amp selection of my pick/up. I don't know squat about subs and mono block amps, so please keep that in mind when you start in with the technical gargon...i just installed a Nak MBvi head, polk c400c4 amp, polk MMC6500 fronts and MMC570 rear.

Victor commented that he thought a sub and a mono block amp would help with the low end. i agree i could use some help in the low end area.

I think i will stick with polk since it will mate with my other equipment. So here are the questions i have at this point.
1in a pick/up would one 8" sub be enough?
2 if one is good are two better? Why?
3 SVC subs or DVC subs? at most i'll have just two subs, but if one is really all that is required then i'll just use one.
4 should i use the polk c500.1 monoblock or c300.2 and bridge it? is a mono block as a dedicated sub amp the better choise?
5 how does one go about bridging the two amps together? my head doesn't have a sub out lead, so do i bridge out of my c400 output leads with RCA cords to the sub-amp's input leads?
6 is the c500 overkill for one or two 8" subs? i don't compete, i just need a little more bottom end to fill out the sound. Quality sound is a requirement though.

thanks in advance for the imput and Victor please, since you are a Polk dealer, let me hear from you too.

None of the Polk 8" sub cud take the 350wrms @4 and 500@2ohms power, etiher u wud have go with 2 x 8" subs or a 10"sub ( if space permits ) or you would have to get another brand 8"sub or another brand monoblock.

If you can fit in space then the Polk c500.1 with 2 x 8"sub ( 200wrms @4ohms SVC sub the mm2084 ) or a single 10" sub ( 300wrms@4ohms SVC sub the mm2104)

Thats for the polk setupo, or you can always look at many other brands which make some really excellent equipment too, it would not matter what brand u use out of those but how you could integrate the amp x sub x enclosure that would matter.

But if space permits and you would like to go with a complete Polk setup then the above 2 options are the best..

Hope it helps..

Victor...

Ps. A sealed enclosure would the perfect choice for Crisp, tight, Quality sound. Also it would be best as per the space availibility.
