please tell me your joking? Did you see the mythbusters episode where they tested the tissue box on the back window? If you have a wreck, that box behind your head will be the last thing you never see........

I hate to even think the hearing damage. I'm am sure somewhere I read it was bad to stick your head infront of a sub for short periods.

"The Top ones are just for show?" OK, just don't drive around with them stacked in that manner. You are inviting decappitation to the driver and the passenger in an accident.

Other than that, the lower subs look nice and amp placement are good. Just make sure they are securely mounted and stay put as you drive around town.

Easy youngin'.... just looking out for your well being. We have been very fair and helpful to you so far right? OK, now we are just giving a friendly warning about those top subs.

PS It does look kinda cool with stacked woofers in your truck. But we do want you to see the danger too. We are covering your butt in all reality... not picking on ya.

Oh thankyou. I was not meaning to offend you or make fun of you, it was true worry. I installed for a number of years and I have seen similar, and been asked to do similar.
a few real life examples I remember fondly:

customer-My portable cd player is not working
me-well as you can see and hear its working fine now?
cust-well I tried it at home and it didn't work?
me-you had batteries in it?
cust-no?
me-you had it plugged into the wall?
cust-no?
me-well I think I know your problem................

me-I am sorry sir, I will not be able to install the cd player in your car because of the amp that is already installed. You have 4 awg home cable, going from your battery, straight through the firewall with no fuse holder or grommet. You need to install a fuse holder and a grommet, or a fire extinguisher...
his buddy behind him with the hat on sideways-NA DOG. That that high temp cable... You will know before it catches fire!
me-ya, he's right, you WILL know before it catches fire.

#3
cust-I don't want to pay $40 for you to install my $20 amp, tell me how to do it and I will do it myself.
me-sure, pwr wire goes to the batt, rca's and remote from the deck to the amp, and ground goes to the chassis.
cust-Where can I find that "chassis"?
me-!@#$#$@!#$

These are real stories and I could keep going. Again, sorry.........

Hehehehe... those are great!

Hey, I wanna build a full scales SR-71 "Blackbird" from scratch and do a fly over of Area 51. Does anyone know where I can get basic parts, schematics and a build print?

Swez

PS Have a tight budget at the moment ... will $200.00 get the job done?
