volt rating on bass blocker

I was just curious what the significance of the volt rating on a bass blocker was.

It will tell us how many volts it was designed to handle safely. If you are powering these speakers with a HU amp set, figure a typical voltage into 4 ohm speakers, will be ~10 volts AC. Most will be fine if rated at 25 VA or higher.

20 watts into 4 ohms = 8.9 volts
50 watts ................ = 14.1 volts
75 watts ................ = 17.3 volts

The math: Watts x Ohms = X, run the sq rt of X to determine voltage
