I,m looking into spl and i want to power my 2 H2s. They are dual 2 ohm models so i could run one rf power amp at 2 ohms or should i run 1 power acoustik to each sub at 1ohm? How many watts does it throw out at 1ohm 2ohm and 4ohm? ilovebass123 on 12/29/2005 17:45:30 http://www.sounddomain.com/item/ROCT30001BD swez on 12/30/2005 08:28:28 1000 Wrms @ 4 ohms 2000 Wrms @ 2 ohms 3000 Wrms @ 1 ohm 300A fuse This amp is mungo-jongo huge dude! WOW... GRIN You can get 2 ohms net load here by using a series/parallel wiring scheme for your subs. That's 1000 Wrms per sub. Is that enough for your H2's? (Orion subs?) Found something interesting while "surfing" . The first few pages show a huge SPL machine in a Jeep Cherokee. Keep looking, as the last 2 pages show the results of a trip to the "Outback" at night for some off road fun that probably turned out to be very expensive. Poor guy... ripped a wheel/axle off in the process of getting "unstuck" . OUCH !!! "This will only hurt a little bit there buggy. We'll get ya out, take ya to the truck hospital and get ya all fixed up in no time". http://www.cardomain.com/ride/828529/1 Cost of vehicle: $4,000 Audio Mods: $8,000 + Towing fees: $200 Repair costs: $300 A night in the Outback: Priceless! SMILE Enjoy, Swez Swez P0werLifter on 12/31/2005 02:52:53 I've heard different things regarding the H2. Ive heard people running 1000watts ported and being perfectly happy / amazed with the output, while I've heard others say they dont show their full potential till after 2000watts. Personally, Id rather have a Quality amp providing solid unclipped power, than spending money on cheaper amps. Not baggin the PA amps since I've ran them, But if you have the money to spend on that RF amp, Id buy two Orion 2500d's and hook up one to each sub GRIN. Then again, Huge Electrical Upgrades either way u look at this. BTW, Im swapping my system in my truck by monday. Going to run an Orion 15" H2 Sealed (3.3^ft) with 2000watts from a Orion 2500d =) -PL Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
