alternator, bass blocker, and amp questions

Okay, first the alternator. Is installing the alternator worth learning (if you don't know anything at all) or better off just paying for the install? Also, i heard that you really only need to upgrade 3 PARTS of the alternator. If someone could enlighten me on this, because i'm trying to do this right the first time.

I would like some recommendations on a bass blocker for a pair of alpine sps-100a and an amp just to run a pair of alpine sps-171a . thank you

As far as the alternator, you could have a local shop beef up a stock alt or just buy a HO one. Exactly what is your needs?

Wow! That is one heckuva amp your running there! That one is beyond my expertise, so it's best to wait on one of the other guys that can guide ya on what to do. Sorry.
