If you have two subs, does each sub need its own channel, meaning i need a 2 channel amp or do they go together in the same channel meaningi only need a mono amp?? And what does bridgeable mean?? sorry for dumb questions Replies (2) skateboarder3573 on 12/12/2005 10:53:14 ALSO when it says for example "125 watts RMS x 2 channels" does that mean 125 watts to each channel or a total of 125 watts divided by those 2 channels???? ttocs on 12/12/2005 11:07:52 You can wire them in either way that you asked about. The wiring needed is determined by the sub and amp that was selected to get the maximum power out of the amp. Subs come in a number of impedences(measured in ohms) and voice coil selections(single coil, dual voice coil), if you do it right you will get the maximum sound from the pieces selected. When it says 125 rms X 2 that means that is can put out 125 watts, coutinuously to 2 channels. You should also look to see that they give a voltage rating that this measurement was taken at(ex:125 watts rms X 2 @ 14Volts). Some companies will slap "2000 WATTS" somewhere when it cannot do this.
