We are here to help all that come and that includes gurl's too. SMILE Here's what we need to know to help you choose. The L5's come in two flavors. They are Dual Voice Coils: (DVC's) 1. 2+2 Dual Coils 2. 4+4 Dual Coils http://www.kicker.com/05/05kicker.html We need to know which product(s) you have, (how many subs... 2? ) in order to show you amps that will meet your needs. This information is key to your install. Swez PS Welcome to CK! blkrsx on 12/1/2005 19:14:55 ok well da caps are off lol thank you now i feel welcomed ok I have the L5 kickers they are 12" I have 1, i think it is a 2+2 dual coil because their are only to metal things you could attach the wires to on the box it says it 2ohm and solo baric (VS12 L5) ps i dunno if that helps Ok now the amp its rockford fosgate its the punch modle #p5002 I know this will help SuBs http://www.kicker.com/05/05kicker.html from left to right they are the third onesDescription from Circuit City: Key Features: One 12" Solo-Baric L5 subwoofer,1100 watts peak power,20-100Hz frequency response,Ported enclosure,Owner's manual ... AmP http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/products/ez2rockford/ModelInfo/ModelInfo.asp?ItemKey=10063521&CategoryDesc=Punch%20Amplifiers exactly that ok well i hope that works HAPPY ttocs on 12/1/2005 20:24:54 there is a # missing in the sub model number, and wouldn't you know it that is the number we need as it tells how many ohms the coils are. it could be VS12L54 or VS12L52 Now looking at the link for the amp. Do you see where it says "channels" and below that "Per channel power"? W stands for watts and will tell you the power of the amp. This number will vary depending on how you wire it. when it says "125 W x 2 @ 4 Ohms RMS" this means it will push out at least 125 watts, into two channels if the speakers hooked up to it are 4 ohms. The line under it would probably be the best scenario when it says "250 W x 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS". if your sub has 2 ohms coils this or the bridged power will get you the most out of your amp. Get that last number and we will be able to help better. swez on 12/2/2005 01:14:32 Spot on ttocs! We need to confirm this is the 2+2 coil set on this match up. With that amp, it would be to your advantage to get the 2+2 version sub. Swez blkrsx on 12/2/2005 16:40:01 i spoke to the ppl i bought the subs from they said if it came already boxed then its a 2 chan and 2 ohm Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
