Hello, I have a 2005 silverado. It has the bose audio system. I tried to install an amp and sub using the rear speaker wires. I got sound from the sub, but very little and no bass. I was told that bose puts a filtering device in the system. Is there any way to get around it? How can I get this to work? Thanks Replies (5) Ash on 11/14/2005 18:32:29 Exactly what model truck is it and with how many speakers? UKinstaller on 11/14/2005 22:16:58 for a bose system, you'll need a special line out converter unless you pick up the audio signal at the amplifier itself. right now, you're getting distorted audio signal to your amp/sub. i think the amplifier is under your center console. if you don't want to go that route, check this out: http://www.cardomain.com/item/PERGMAA -UK ttocs on 11/15/2005 08:52:34 working with bose is unlike working with anything else....... swez on 11/15/2005 10:13:58 That's very encouraging input ttocs. I've heard other techs say: "Not much highs, not much lows... it must be Bose!" There's a tag ending to that lil ditty, but I'll leave that out. You already know the rest. Swez paul_az on 11/15/2005 11:03:12 it is th ls model. i believe it has 7 speakers. There is a sub in the middle console. two tweeters in the door liners, one in each door, and two in the rear.
