hey all, i recently purchased 3 lava neons (2 15" and 1 20") that dont light to the bass, they are just on or off, i figured i could just make some sort of color organ to have them all set the exact same way, i just have no way of doing it
i was thinking i could somehow get it so i could cut the power from the cigarette lighter till a microphone recieved a bass signal hit, then it would allow the power to pass to all the neons, when there wasnt a bass signal, it wouldnt allow the power to pass, that's basically what a color organ does but i need to know how to make one for what i need, anyone have any ideas?

we use to build a kit called a light organ in electronics class that did just that. It cost less then $20, and provided a good learning tool for the electronics that were inside it. All you should need is a soldering iron...
