04 Freelander

I am trying to put an aftermarket headunit in my '04 Land Rover Freelander. The unit is a double din, I want to go down to a single din. The problem is I can not find a dash kit or a wiring harness to get the job done. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

hmmm, i have yet to mess with an 04 freelander. do you have any idea if the double din head unit is an iso mount? have you taken it out yet? if it's a double din iso mount, you could make a universal pocket work.

also, how many speakers are there total in the car?? count component speaker sets as one speaker instead of two.

Thanks for the reply. Good to see someone else from Kentucky on here. I have not taken it out but thre are pictures on www.freeladerowners.com under the audio forum. I'm not sure if it is an iso mount or not. I don't have much experience with car audio. As far as I know there are 6 speakers.

whereabouts from kentucky are you from?? i'm in louisville.

i've got a wiring diagram for your car to easily build a wiring harness for your car. if you peek under your driver seat, there's an amplifier. if you can't get the speaker wires behind the radio, you can always get them there. power is easy, too.

lemme look some stuff up and i'll get back to you tomorrow (friday).
