I don't know your skill level on installations, you could be a 15 yr old getting ready to rip into your moms car, and this is more involved then most. its also been a while and I am sure I remember most of it with out it being in front of me, but please double check for any screws I missed. I am sure UK can correct anything I miss. I will help by giving what i remember, as long as we understand I am not responsible, nor is the forum........ You can do damage to the vehicle installing a radio, I have seem many people try with out any instructions and do alot of damage.

open the doors and gently pry off the panels on the sides of the dash. Under those panels on each side there is a screw that holds the top of the dash. I beleive there is a phillips head that holds the vent in the center of the dash, and a 7mm(9/32") under the vent. Open the glove box and there are a couple more 7mm's(I believe 2 were brass?). If all the screws have been removed, you should be able to carefully take the ENTIRE top of the dash off easily. Make sure the bracket by the airbag doesn't get hung up, and then put that piece some where safe to the side. Once it is off, you should be able to see some more 7mm screws, on the back of the black plastic piece that surrounds the gauges and radio. Once all of the screws are out that black plastic piece will be loose, there is a hrns on the back that you will need to disconnect before you can take it out of the car. Once it is out you will see the remaining 7mm's that hold the radio.

If you put it back together in the reverse order properly, you should have no extra parts or screws left over..

ya got most of it ttocs. on the top center of the dash before you take anything apart, there is a plastic panel with a single phillips head screw in it. remove the screw, then pop the panel out. there are two 7 MM screws under that that need to come out, also.

in the glove box, look towards the back where the airbag is and you'll see two more 7 MM screws that connect the airbag to the dash. they are gold colored. remove those as well.

the rest is right on!!

p.s. for the 2004 trail blazer, drop the knee bolster with a few 7 MM screws. take it down, then you'll see the dash that covers the radio wraps behind the knee bolster. remove those screws, the rest of the dash should pop right out.

So I missed the one of two screws under the center vent, I thought there was only one? I mentioned the brass screws near the airbags?

Funny that I still remember, as I cannot remember the last one that I did...... Must have been 4-5 yrs ago...

how do you remember all of this UK?
I don't even look at the car anymore, I just get in and say "oh, one of these". I'm pretty good at matching up kits and harnesses by make and model without looking, but your recollection of dissassembly is truely amazing. Either that or you do 20+ head units a day.
