Im hopefully gonna get all my wiring and fuse ordered by the end of next week. Im goinin to use 1/0 gauge wiring. Its for the JBL 1200.1 which draws 114A. Now the only fuse size i can find close to that is an ANL 150, i would want somethin at 114 or below right? And if thats correct can u guys help me find a sight with a fuse that low? My second ? is that im gettin my wiring from knukonceptz.com i can use that power wiring for ground too right?, isnt power and ground the same type of wire?

have you thought about using a circut breaker, i have one that is a 100A. i dunno if many recommend them or not but it has never failed. and makes working on your stereo pretty easy, just flip the switch and all power is cut. and yes you can use power for ground, only difference is the color.

ryan,

Battery fuse should be a little higher than the amp fuses meaning 114 or above or you would be changing fuses more often than u should. 150 would be fine. Power fuse is only to protect the battery and your cars electrical system. The only thing that would really cause a powerline fuse to blow is if it shorted somewhere (grounded). That wiring is good but you would be fine with 2 gauge wiring kit, unless of course you plan on getting another amp in the future. you can save some bucks.

And yes as Comp said power and ground are same wiring.

Actually, that amp will draw 114A at full power yes... but since it is Class D and has a fairly short duty cycle... I have heard many guys using 80A fusing for the main wire feed. An 80A fuse will take almost double the rated power for short durations before it blows.
Fine for adaily driver application.

But if you plan to compete in SPL DB drags and such, then 100A or higher, is usually adequate.

Well, me personaly, i have that amp. ( i love it )

I am running 4gauge to it with a 80amp AGU fuse on it and have never had a fuse pop yet with it even at full tilt at 1ohm, and 2ohm.
The fuse can actually let allot more power through in spurts, and not pop, it will only pop when the current is exceeded for a good amount of time or like others said, a short in the wire somewhere.

but i have another amp as well and had to change the wire to allow more power, now i run 0gauge wire with a 150amp ANL fule going to a distro block turned into dual 4gauge with a 100amp ANL on the 1200.1 and a 60amp ANL on the other amp.
