I just purchased polk dm6500 component speakers and I would also like to purch. a two 10in subs for my car. I am currently looking at audiobahn A4801t 150 watts x 4. The amp is on sale brand new for 249. (i think its a good deal THINK) Here is my dilema; my components are rated at 100 rms and 300 peak. Would this amp blow my components????

It would notblowyour speakers if the gains are set properly. Do you have one or two setsof the comps? IMO there are some better performing and more durable amps that may not be quite as powerful, but will do the job just as good if not better for a better price. If you would like some suggestions, let us know.

In other words, bahn likes to concentrate on how the amp looks. They are not a horrable amp, but there are better sounding.....

Update: I purchased an Orion 8004 amp this afternoon rated 100x4@4, 200x4@2 400x2@2. I will be running pold db6500 components two of the channels and bridge the other two channels and run a single 10in sub. in a sealed box. My buddy has the Diamond Audio D6 new in the box for $149.00. Would this be a good sub, if not, any sugestions?? Thanks

To use the rear channels on that amp in bridged mode, you'll get the most power to a sub that has a net ohmic load of 4 ohms. The D6 come in 2+2 or 4+4 DVC versions. The right one is the 2+2 DVC version. If that is what he has, you'/re good to go.
D610D2 is the sub you want. They sell for about $150-195.00 + S/H off the net. Diamond makes some very good gear!!!

Agreed, Diamond makes some very good equipment. The DVC 2ohm is the one you want. Check it out and make sure it has 2ohm voice coils. If they are 4ohm I would not suggest running it bridged.
