Ford Fusion audio harness color code

Hi,

I would like to know the color code of the audio cable for Ford Fusion ( European model - UAV,not sedan ) as I could not find the convertor cable in local shop.

Or I can try to trace the wires with a multimeter, only thing is there is one more wire than is mentioned in the article by UKinstaller.

There is one antenna wire.
There is a thick black earth wire - with a separate connector.
There are three thick wires - grey, white, orange with black stripe.
There are 8 thin wires
orange with black stripe
yellow with green stripe
white with black stripe
grey with black stripe
white with red stripe
grey with red stripe
white with violet stripe
grey with white stripe

Do I assume that is a battery negative wire in the harness in addition to the thick black wire, which could be connected directly to chassis ?

regards,

well, you won't necessarily use every wire that's in the harness with your new head unit. some wires are specifically for the factory deck.

i don't have a diagram for your car, all i have is a 2002 ford fushion 2 whatever that is. it doesn't match what you have listed.

let's assume that the eight smaller wires are your speaker wires. have you popped the speakers yet?? if not, go ahead and do that with the car off.

also, do you have a power antenna?? and have you found your power yet?? (constant, accessory, ground).

we'll get you worked out.

do you know if it is a premium system?

ford isn't offering the premium system quite like they used to. on 2003-present day ford's, i have yet to see a premium system other than the "mach" series, which is rare itself. they finally realized that their premium system was no better than anybody else's factory except their own.
