get ready for a battle, my friend. absolutely EVERYTHING in the backseat has to come out. remove the back seat, both rear pillars, the seat belt bolts on the b pillar, everything to get the back deck out of there. it is a nightmare, but definitely doable with some time and the right tools.
i've heard there is a way to get the rears out without taking anything out, that you can get the rears out from the trunk. i've yet to try it, but if you're replacing them anyway, go ahead and try it.

It is an extreme hassle, either way. To remove them from the trunk, you can use a pair of vice grips or a cordless drill and tighten it around the screws and reverse them out, but you have to be extremely careful not to strip out the threads or you are stuck using speed clips. It is a hassle either way, I would just taske the time to remove everything and do it right, plus it will make you more knowledgable about your car when you want to do some upgrades. It is time consuming and a big hassle, but on the brighter side it is a learning experience.
