If you don't have an amp yet, consider the Alpine MRV-F450. It's a 5 channel amp. Full range is 4 ch., @ 50 watts (RMS) and sub amp is 200 watts (RMS). I believe that is at 4 ohms load for the sub channel. You may wish to contact Alpine Tech to confirm the sub amp ohmic load range that is rated for. It is not covered in the manual very well.

PS This amp has a good deal of flexibility to it. You can bridge the 4 channels for more power to the front speakers and power the 6x9's off your HU. That's a good option if your 5.25" front speakers can take the power. (100 RMS x 2 @ 4 ohms)

Sony makes pretty good HU's and very good home theater products. But their amps and speakers are not up to par with what the "Big Hitters" offer. Yes, you can get them cheap and if used as designed, they do work. Just don't expect long term performance and reliabilty you'd expect from JL, Alpine, Kenwood, Rockford of the Pioneer Premier series products.

Other good options include Orion, HiFonics, Power Acoustiks and perhaps US Acoustics. (if you can find the latter one)
