Hi guys, a friend of mine with a Camry and 300 dollars to burn wants a system and I was curious off the top of your heads without burdening urselves to much with research and stuff what I should look into, the only constraint is price and loudness. He just wants to be able to hear it from a long ways away. Thanks for your help. Once you decide upon the stuff to buy, we can later start with the installation process. A Bandpass, or an EBS would be what we wud want to have to make the system BOOM.. I would be more than ready to help you with making that. A good healthy 300+wmrs would do the trick with an appropriate subor subs. probably a 12" or 15" or 2 x 12" according to the space available. Also do u just have to buy a mean bass machine in those 300$ or do u need the HU, speakers , subs and amp in those 300$ if thats the case, then i am sure you wont be able to find that kind of cheap equipment. and even if you do manage to buy i am sure they are going to be very poor quality equipments. comments...?? Victor.. MrBrownstone on 09/15/2005 20:20:03 Gosh I'm going to have to go with cutting your muffler and catalytic converter off as the loudest possible system. Granted, it may cost you only $3...it'll help you save up for your destination system. I always recommend starting with one question: Where do you want to be when your system is complete? Many folks get started in car audio, haphazardly, and end up with equipment they don't need or want after just a few months. This is why Boss, Legacy, Jensen, Visonik, etc. and the like can make a buck. Once you answer to yourself what type of system you intend to end up with, I'd recommend purchasing the best products to complete that job rather than trying to limit yourself to $300. You may be better off replacing the front and rear speakers, use whatever factory head unit you have, and revisit the idea when you have more money later.
