If you desire to become a custom fabricator of sub enclosures and do a lot with fiberglass, probably a better way to gain this knowledge is to watch a skilled guy doing it, offer free help and get as much hands on experienced as you can.

Also, the time it takes to fabricate such things can be substantial. One has to identify a need for such products and is there enough biz to support learning this technique. If you have lots of customer potential and they are willing to lay out reasonable money for same, it might be worth your while.

One has to be very creative in not only making such products, but also marketing such items in a profitable manner. If the market will not support your learning curve, time/talent and material fabrication costs, the point is moot.

Finally, one has to look at the competition in a given geographical area. If we offer a $400.00 custom unit that others can do for half of that, you know your answer. However, if there is an untapped niche, and you can fill that gap with a nice profit margin too, why not invest the time and see what happends.

I guess there is some mis-understanding here, i am not looking to start some biz which can pay me, i mean i am in no plans to do commercial Fibre Glass work,

All i want to know is, "Do these CD's have enuf info to Learn and Teach Fibreglassing...??, and do they have ample info and tutorials that are worth the CD's costs?

Thanks in advance..

Hummm, never saw them. Don't know anything about the company that offers them either.

One thing about American made DIY demos and shows, most cover the basics and key steps as you go. However, they rarely show intricate details on tough issues and how to recover from errors, blunders or adapting to plan changes.

Victor, you are a very fart smeller. I am sure you can figure out just about any technique or work-a-round needed with time. These CD modules are pretty pricey. With more research and some hands on experience, am certain you can learn what you need to know w/o gambling on what they offer.

PS Could contact them to see if they have a short demo of their product modules for "free viewing". If they do and you like what you see, that's something you can judge for value and content . Does that help?

just like anything in home improvement, the true learning will be from your own experience and mistakes. Videos/dvds are there to shorten the learning curve, but unless you intend to do it as a business, I don't know that it would be worth the time invested.

On the other hand, if you like doing this sort of thing, and have time and money to kill, why not? Just don't do anything permanent to your car or it's interior panels, and you have nothing but time and money to lose.

I saw a car audio video once on 'how to install a head unit' but since 50 different car models use slightly different dashes, only the easy part (THE WIRING) was in any way useful.

glass is not really all that hard, just scary at first. As beginning installers we are use to straight lines, corners and edges. When you start to move into glass you can bypass all of these. I have done very little myself, the other guys at the shop that had experience did all that work. I did get to watch, ask questions, and of course help with the sanding(something everyone should experience!). There are alot of tutorials online that would probably explain everything those dvd's would.

I am at the point of the construction of my system that I will be glassing. There will be a little bit in the all parts of my system, kicks, amp and x-over rack, and sub box.
