whell to day i was going to install my cd playin in my new truck so i got it in there and befor i put it in the hole it worked fin then i put it in the hole and it don't work so i messed with it a while so then i put it in my old truck and it still did not work :( what is strange the power and every thing comes on u can go through it and it will play a cd but there is no sound comeing from it if any of u know a quick fix that would be nice it is a pioneer don't know the modle # right off i will get it has this happen to any one befor did i mess it up bad or what

i used to own a pioneer deh720 i think or something like that, the 7 series of from the first year that pioneer made this models, anyway.. i did have the same problem you are having but the player lasted over two years... i never had it diagnosed but i think it was the internal amp, everything worked fine except speakers. sub amp and subs still played just not music from speaks being powered by the unit.... check all your speakers make sure you are not grounded out, i know in my grand prix my front left speak was hitting metal in the door, and would cause all the other speaks to not work.... check all your options before take the unit in... try a diff unit, see if it works... if it does then your HU has prolly and some internal amp damage. if you can get it covered under warrenty or return it for a new one if that is an option. good luck
