have mtx thunder 282 to power sub works when car on but not running start car and no signal comes out powelamp stays on rest of system keeps working
please help

check your grounds, i have had this problem in the past, a lot of problems come from a bad ground.

If HU is working properly when in ACC and IGN modes, then wirng to amp is probably the issue. Check all wires in and out of the amp while car is running to see if there is a loose wire connection or poor grounding.
If this truck has been modified with a beefed up engine, exhaust or similar, the extra vibration may be affecting your wire connections.
