I started on the cover board for the amp rack today. The diamond cross-overs are going to be flush mounted and the top of the amp will stick out. I also want to put another piece over everything to keep it as stock looking as possable. I have 2 of the 4 cross-over openings done and now ready to start the other side. Took probably 2 hrs each of fine sanding and trimming, all the while bent over my work bench, my back is screaming....... Might try to finish another opening er two this am before it gets up to 100, till around 9 maybe. Did a little more work on the kicks also, although still waiting on the dynamat. I'll have to take some more pics and post them on the website. Replies (5) Victor on 08/20/2005 10:30:34 Wow man... you are a hard worker scott. COFFEE swez on 08/20/2005 10:45:17 Looked at your site and for some reason, the details were there, but not the pics. Got that link handy again? Oh my aching back...Advil, Aleve or Ibuprofen work well for me as I have chronic back pain often. (motorcycle accident, years ago) Short of codine based pain killers, those two meds work best for me. Keep pushing bud, Swez ttocs on 08/21/2005 09:50:08 tried to upload the new pics but there was an issue of some sort. It would let me see the pics though, anyone else havin this issue? http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2081149 I don't know if you can say that I am a hard worker. I have owned the truck since new and this is the first major stereo I have put in it. After cutting 2 of the holes for the cross-overs in the cover board, #3 and #4 went pretty quick. next week I will have to cut the hold for the amp( a rather large hole, 33" x 20" er something). I am going to use the router again to ensure it is a straight line and I am sure I will then need to add some kind of bracing to help support it. This is my short week at work so i have 4 days to work on the truck this week. I NEED THE STORE TO GET THE DARN DYNAMAT! Could have ordered it online by now.... ttocs on 08/25/2005 12:21:22 Got my nerf-bars or side bars installed yesterday(happy birthday to me!). I like them as they match the bed rails nicely but it makes my truck look too close to the ground. Oh well, I was planning on a small lift and some bigger tires later. I was originally plannin on finishing the amp rack up this morn but my neighbor/buddy said there was a concert that he wanted to go to. Again, its my b-day, what the heck.... Saw RAT, LA guns, and wasp, metal church had to cancel......... I was a little too tired to get outta bed while it was still under 100 degrees. Maybe this afternoon. The website has been updated for what I did last week. Let me know if it works. ttocs on 09/2/2005 01:08:09 did some more and got the first cover board done this afternoon. I have some minor sanding and filling to do, but not much. Don't know what part to do next.... http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2081149 Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
