OK heres my deal: I have a MTX amp and MTX 12" subwoofers and a pioneer head unit, I did have them in my cavalier... i am getting a new car its a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire with a "Monsoon sound System" on the radio it tells what song is playing and what station its on... a feature that i really like and it makes me not want to hook up my own head unit. HOWEVER i really like to drive the car with my subwoofers on.... so i guess my ? is... is there any way to hook up my amp and subwoofers to the radio that is already in the car? That would convert the +/- wires from the factory player to RCA cable. From there, you could send it to your amplifier. I would suggest getting a line driver (practically any one) to assist you in getting proper RCA voltage to the subwoofer amplifier without using too much of the factory's volume knob. ttocs on 08/12/2005 22:13:36 replacing the deck could be troublesome........ adding a sub should not be a problem.
