this sub is 600 watts rms, and with dual 2 ohm you can wire it 1 ohm or at 4 ohm. that amp you listed is not really a good match here, it will give out 300 watts at 2 ohms. so at 4 ohms you will only be giving it 150 watts, highly underpowring the sub, will need to keep gains low and bass boost below +3. id say your best bet is to get a different amp, tryin to run that sub hard with that amp is not going to happen, will fry the voice coils in no time, id recommend the 600.1, but then again your only going to be giving it 300 watts because of the daul 2 omh load. 600.1 is not 1 omh stable, i used to run two kx600.1s and 2 12L7s. was very loud once i got the ground problem fixed and quit blowing the subs..... another good match would be jbl 600.1 probably the best match for the price, will give off 600 watts at 1 or 2 ohm load. very convienent. i know jl audio 500/1 will go 1.5 ohm stable to 4omh i think and still give 500 clean watts of power. phoenix gold has a xenon series that is 1-4 omh operable all at the same power output, they make a 600 watt version

these are a few amps to look into, will make your sub perform how you want, i promise the amp you have will not give what you want, the very first L7 i had i was running it with 175 watts at 2 ohms, runied the sub it still worked but once i upgraded to the kx600.1 it only lasted about a week before it went, very harmful to a sub to under power it. i cant tell you not to use that amp but if you can i would try to return it and use that towards a different amp. try to get a class d mono amp, made just for subs, they run way cooler than class a/b amps and draw less current... good luck, if ya need more help just ask, but do not try to wire that sub to the current amp at 1 omh, will go into protect mode very shortly after running.

All the amps compvr listed are solid performing amps and very reliable too... They make a good match with your sub.. If the shop wher you bought it from can change it then it would be great ..

As always, it may be best to plan your ENTIRE system before making a purchase. What is the plan for your system? What equipment do you have? How much do you plan to upgrade?

Take it easy on purchasing a single product before you decide where you are going with it. It may turn out that you want to add woofers and more power later, and getting a bigger amp right now may be the best route.

Uhmmmm, he said one L7, 2+2 coil DVC (pls confirm this) and a 2 channel amp right? If that is correct, you can bridge the amp to MONO and hook up the coils for a 4 ohm load. (both coils in series) That will give you a solid 300-350 watts RMS @ 4 ohms.

Nothing to sneeze at, but the sub can take much more clean power and give a few more dB of bass as well. If you stay with a single sub, upgrading to one of the 1 ohm stable, Class D amps noted earlier, wiring both coils in parallel, will give you max performance and less power consumption too.

However, a 2 channel amp bridged is a workable option too. The KX-550.2 will work just fine here too.

That sub should make some serious boom with enough power. It is rated at 1000 watts RMS power handling and 89dB sensitivity. It is a 2+2 DVC, so you can run a 1 or 4 ohm load, depending on how it is wired.

Have any amp models in mind yet?

Nice amp, but the Pioneer sub mentioned earlier is a 2+2 DVC. The amp is not rated for 1 ohm loads. You have 1 safe wiring option here. That is, both coils in series for a net 4 ohm load and 450 watts RMS. (amp can do 700 RMS @ 2 ohms)

How does the sub sound at 450 watts?
