I got the seats and center consol that I had found for a deal. Was feelin better today and tired of looking at them so I put the seats together, cleaned them and the consol up. I then proceded to take the consol apart to see what I can rip out of it to get enough airspace for a 10w7. I don't think an 8 will do... It is a tall consol and had airvents going under it, it was originally in an explorer and is a direct bolt up to the dash for a ranger. From what I can measure, I can get 10" x 10" for the face of the sub, with the sub facing backwards and about 1.25 cubes.. I will have to hack the consol to widen it 2" to get the 10" across and fiberglass the bottom, and some sides. I think I have it worked out in my head. The seats I have(Buckets from and explorer also) do not have tracks on them, looking at the tracks on my current seats it looks like they line up. I will be able to move them over 1/2 - 1" if I need to compensate for the wider consol. I am going to retain the top of the consol and keep a little bit of usable space to store stuff.

I also found a neat place to mount my cell phone to allow for easy charging and use. my phone is not blue tooth compatable but I was looking at some of the converters that plug into the 2.5mm plug. anyone used these? That and a earpiece would make it as easy as it should be....

I went and bought a dremel and a big accesory box for it. It has the circle cutting jig that I would need for the kicks and some other pieces that will help for working out of the garage. Now I just need it to get below 100, people dyin out here from this kinda hot. ITs like Africa Hot. Tarzan couldn't take this kinda hot.....

Is that Tarzan the monkeyman or Guitar-zan the Guitar man?

Heat? How hot is it in AZ this month? Detroit has has a blistering heatwave the past 8 weeks. Not so much the heat, but heat + humidity, makes it tough to do anything from noon til 8:00 PM.

Went fly fishing with my brother last night. Was 90 degrees at 8:00 PM and when we got to the river, the humidy was like a steam bath there too. Fished til 11:30 PM and got out of the river, soaking wet from sweat. The water temp was 86, air temp when we left had dropped to 83.

This pattern is common in latter August... but never seen this kind of heat/RH% so early in a summer. Think we are about 7-8 degrees above normal, for this time of year. YUCK!

I can only imagine what it feels like in places like Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, Florida and other deep south states.

Have played golf in 110 degree weather in a dry desert area like Phoenix and Texas. It was hot, but the humidity was well under 20% RH. I'll take that over 95 degrees and 80% RH anyday.

I stopped by the shop as i wanted to buy a bunch of dynamat. I have the entire back of the truck up to the seats dampened already, now If I am going to pull both seats out I will go ahead and hit the front end. Of course the shop was already using their last box, but they will order me one.

It will have to wait till next week though. I got a wild hair up me and decided to take off for san diego this weekend, thankfully it was not hard to find some one pretty(and 7 yrs younger) to come along and show me the sites SMILE. I recently had to take over a timeshare that I was stupid and signed for a few years ago. Been payin no it for a while so why not use it? I got a room at the marina for nothin, normally $250 a night......
