Still have not made it back to work wich has left me too much time to think about what I wanna do, and to look for it(online). I found a decent deal on a pair of bucket seats as well as an explorer center consol that will fit between and fit up with the dash perfect. They are in transit now and hopefully will be here by the end of the week. I have been doing some measuring and I am sure that I can get about 1 cubic foot. That fits perfectly into a ported enclosure for a 8" W7, the recommended airspace. Today I did some measuring and cut a template for the kicks(4" and 1"silk dome diamond audio). Drivers side will be a pain as I will have to have the parking break moved over to allow for clearance, or use a linear actuator, dunno. i was also looking at the 6" mid for the 3 way set up and think I figured out a way to build an easy enclosure fer it. I might have to get the wood and saw out the next couple of nights to use what little cool weather we have, it was 115 todayFROWN..............

It has been in the high 80's to mid 90's w/ 70-80% humidity here, probably mid to high 90's in the shop. We have several fans, but they just blow the hot air around.

Sounds like a good plan and some real good research has gone into your system....can't wait to here about the end results. My upgrades are on hold for a short time due to the height of dB Drag comp season. So I have been spending my spare time working on the vehicles I do tech work on.

I'm considering doing fiberglass for my rear deck, and possibly incorporate some into my door panels for the front stage. Some things may change on some of my equipment, but I'm pretty set on the CDT Audio comps for the front and rear.

Keep us posted on this install, it may be very worth while for others to know what went into the design, planning, and actual installation of this system

I've been in both the desert and the upper midwest during both hot spells. I'll take 105 to 110F heat over 90+ and humid.

At least you sweat in the desert and it dries....adding to evaporations and subsequently, it has a cooling effect. In the humidity, it's like jumping into a hottub.

Hair Dryer vs. Hot tub--you decide

Exactly, the humidity is terrible, and then anyone that installs knows how people never clean out their vehicles, so now I'm crawling out of trunks and backseats w/ crap stuck all over me.

I come home feeling like I just put in 10 hours in a factory pouring iron.

I should not complain too much, I'm doing what I love to do, some people hate what they do for a living but are stuck, at least I'm doing what I like to do.

I moved here from the midwest and do prefer the dry heat, but no matter what you call it is still really hot...

I remember havin stuff stuck to me as well, its amazing what people will leave in the car and then hand over the keys to a stranger. great pics, kewl and sometimes strange "toys".

i'm in louisville, at the very bottom of the ohio valley. we often have days where the temp is upper 80's to low 90's with a heat index upwards to 115-120 degrees. those days suck. humidity is the most uncomfortable feeling.

doing rear speakers ALWAYS sucks when it's hot outside, especially in coupes.

as far as laying in gross stuff in trunks, i laid my hand in a poopie diaper once in some gross lady's ford taurus. scarred me for life.

I lived in evansville, 2 hours west of louisville so I know both the weather, and the kind of cars that you get to enjoy. You can keep it... The thing I hate most about installing here is all the boats in the summer. It is a small shop that we can cram 4 cars into as long as we like dancing around them and the other guys, no room fer a boat. We always get to enjoy those outside. Like I said it is bearable in the shade but in the sun you swear you are just gonna die! And then of course rolling around all sweaty in a fiberglass boat is ALWAYS a good time!

I was looking and The 8W7 recommended ported enclosure is the same as the 10W7 sealed(1 cube). Anyone know what would sound better? an 8 in a port or a 10 in a sealed? I think I would rather have the 10...
