Hey Guys,
Need a spare set of hands to share the work load at CK. Am getting more on my plate now and need a 2nd person to share the back room duties of the board. This job is not hard to learn or carry out with partial Admin tools that comes with the job. Here are a few general criteria to consider if one wished to be considered for the job.
1. Keep out spammers (delete them)
2. Delete inappropriate posts and threads
3. Has a solid background in most phases of Car Audio
4. Defuses flame wars before they get to a boiling point
5. Has LEADERSHIP characteristics to initiate new board functions and upgrades with Walt
6. Willing to keep this board "PG" rated
7. A good communicator
8. Able to devote adequate time to police the board (5 hours a week should do it)
9. Initiate additional calls for donations on a periodic bases
10. Good people skills

Would like to see a nomination count of your 3 top choices from this list. Once we have it down to 3, then a final vote to choose 1 for this position. If any Gold wishes to be excluded from the position for whatever reasons, let it be known, before the last 3 candidates are chosen. In the event of a tie, I will reserve my vote to be the tie breaker. (just like the Vice President does in the Senate) Full participation in the selection process is hoped for. That way, none can grouse that they did not have a say in the process.

OK, it's July 12th and have several Golds that have voiced their opinions on who they want to nominate for the new position. We have a short list now and here they are:
1. ttocs
2. UK Installer
3. Victor
Now comes the nitty gritty. Time for all nominees to accept or decline the opportunity and then we cast our final votes. Would like to wrap this up by the weekend and have a tally by Friday, 7/15/05.
What say you Golds?

I say make 'em all in charge. We need 24hr coverage, and none of us are going to be reliable during the summer months. They are all trustworthy, and I don't feel having any or all of them in command would have a negative effect.
Give 'em all the power.

Personally, I would love to have 2 more Golds with limited Admin powers. However, that's not my call to make. Would have to run this by Walter as this is his baby... I am only a steward with his site.

I would say that if all are given the powers it would benifit the site with 3 sets of vigilant eyes and at the same time not put much load on any single one...THINK

Why don't we propose the idea to Walt? I think at some point, we'll need more than 1 head of this site to accomodate lifestyle changes, and don't see the harm in it myself.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have given the privilege to a bunch of people over @ the other site....for the purpose of having coverage.

Am looking into some new options with Walter on having more than 1 additional Gold to perform limited Admin functions. (keeping the site in order)

Still awaiting a response to have more than 2 Golds with Admin tools.
Agree that all 3 Golds listed above (Ttocks, Victor & UK) will do a fine job as Admins assistance. A few extra hands are a good thing due to personal work loads and time constraints we all have from time to time.
