Earthquake Sub-Zero Holy S

I just seen one of the 15's today and was amazed. There is no price list since Earthquake has yet to release one on this sub. My understanding is that they are only made to order. If anyone has any more info on these, please share it. I am very interested in learning more about this sub. If it is even half as loud as it looks, it may be worth looking into for my dB Drag comp vehicle for next season. Plan on going Superstreet 1-2.

I have always wondered how the earthquake products were.. never really got a chance to listen to them except a guy in another city who imported them from the US and boasts around saying his car is the loudest at 147db... lol.. I challenged him to come to my city to listen to my car wich puts out a 155.08db on any given day.. dunno what made him not come, but since then i have never heard of a earthquake product.

Regarding the specs and the price list here u go..

Hope that helps..

If you get a chance to test them and plot a graph.. please let me know..

It seems they would sound very impressive in a EBS or a TL enclosure.

That is the Subzero, there is a bigger version called the Subzero Holy S, the surround is much bigger, as is the magnet, and the basket is probably about 24" in height. The Subzero is nice, but the Holy S is unbelievable.....I would like to know more.

I spoke w/ a sales rep, as well as the sales specialist @ Earthquake, and they state that there have been only 4 ordered so far, and a newly opening shop in my area has 2 of the 4 that have been ordered for retail sale, the rest of the working models are prototypes for shows. The guy at the shop said he thinks the retail will be around $2499 for the 15 and $2199 for the 12. I would really like to see this sub in action though. The voice coil terminals have fused links for changing the impedance, and the coils are set up in a way that you can get 2,4,8 ohms off one side of the coils, but there is another set of terminals on the other side so you can run up to 8 amps on one sub. It has me very curious, years ago Earthquake, along w/ MTX Audio, and Rockford Fosgate owned dB Drag competition. I'm just wondering if they have stepped up to produce the product they use to years ago.

If I were to guess, these subs stated a 4.5" cone excursion (peak to peak). That sounds like XBL^2 technology, with a definite twist.

Nice features to be sure... but I have bought cars that cost less than this puppy retails for. hehe Back then, those cars were mostly hand made too.
