My Villager was recently totaled. I managed to get the CD changer out. I need to find a car stereo, with cassette player, and corresponding cables that match up with an Audiovox CDC 820 10-disc changer. I need to install it in a 1996 Dodge Grand Caravan.
Any suggestions would be helpful. THINK

Yes, the van is currently equipped with an Infinity system.

if the factory radio is still in there, you may be looking at more then a standard install to bypass the amps in the infinity system to add another deck. Was the factory radio in the old vehicle?

I left the factory radio in the old vehicle, because they were going to auction it off, and I would have had to replace the stereo.

Does the new radio say anything that might lead you to believe that it has changer controls? If so it might be plug and play, if you have the right cables. Unfortunatly if you don't din cables like that can be pricey....

I do not believe it has cd changer controls. I have priced some of the cables and you're right. They are expensive. I don't know if there is a thrifty way of doing this.

no, probably not. You will need to but a chrystler radio that has premium sound(infinity) as well as your cd changer controls $$$... Then the appropriate cable.
You can pick up a decent rf mod changer for a little more then $100 online.....
