I just installed a 1600 watt power acoustik amp with a dual 12 inch audiobahn bandpass box into my car yesterday. Everything was working fine for about an hour and then the speakers just shut off. My factory speakers still work but my amp isn't hooked up to them. My amp powers up but there is no current running through the speaker wires and the fuses are fine. Everything is fine except there's no music. What could be the problem???

Check your subs with a different amp. If the subs work, you know the amp is in trouble and the subs are working. If the subs are blown, try a few other speakers (at low power) to test the amp.

Exactly, what model subs and what model amp????? My first guess would be the impedance is too low for amp and it is going into protect, maybe the RCA's are bad. We can help you more if we knew more about the equipment you have....
