I have been searching for quite some time for a cd player for my 1990 Buick Regal Gran Sport. There is a radio built into the dash like in the photo (http://www.carstereohelp.com/stereoremovalBuickRegal1.htm). My goal is to remove the cassete deck from down below the dash and replace it with a stock cd player. I was told that I would have to replace the radio too, but I don't think this is correct. For one thing, I believe that there are only two types of radios for this car. Neither of them have cd controls on them. The cd controls are built right into the player itself, which would take the place of the cassette deck.

are you saying you want to put a slave cd player in, one that would be controlled by the factory radio?
