need help - just installed new system in a mitsubishi fto 2.0 v6 - there is massive feedback even after i put on a suppressor.i also ran all the cables seperatly outside the car - but the same-oh and everything is grounded - could the noise be coming from the switch wire - there seem to be two - one in use and the other is in the loom? please help Replies (1) Swez on 07/16/2003 21:53:46 You say "feed back"... can you explain that in more detail? A loud Hum, high pitch squeel or other. Are you using an outboard amp here? If so, give details on HU, amp(s) and wiring configuration used. (RCA lines to amp(s) or high signal inputs? Also the "switch wires" do you mean remote power and power antenna line feeds... usually blue and blue w/ white stripe? More detail is needed to figure out what you have going on here. Finally, assume you are using an "aftermarket HU" here. Is that grounded via harnness or direct to body/chassis ground? It should be grounded to body. See FAQ on proper grounding techniques.
