What i would like to know is: Does anybody know anywhere to get an Adire Audio sticker or banner or ANYTHING? I'm really getting fed up with people round my neck of the woods running around in little imports with systems that show off stickers from the "entry-level" car audio brand of their choice. (Ex: Pioneer,MTX,Rockford Fosgate,Kicker,Infinity) It makes me laugh to see these vehicles, but i still would like to rep my favorite company, and show some of the "noobs" around town that their sub-standard mainstream equipment is not superior to everything else, like most of them think. Any help is appreciated, over and out. ,Dan Replies (14) compvr15s on 06/16/2005 22:16:56 i dunno where to get stickers for adire, but by calling all thoes brands entry level, ya need to study car audio a lil more.. most of those brands probably paved the way for adire. just becuase you can buy them at BB and CC dont mean anything. not trying to be rude but it kinda bugs me that you put such a new company up on a pedistal like that. i know adire is a great brand but they had to base thier design off of something too ya know ssallstar598 on 06/16/2005 23:46:21 i really love adire audio too man but just because something doesnt have 16+ mm of excursion and no XBL2 or anything doesnt make it a bad sub... kicker cvrs are very capable but they are EVERYWHERE just like infinitys and MTX ESPECIALLY fosgate.... fosgate isnt as good as it used to be but it can still be good w/ the right box just like ive seen a single lightning audio sub hit 138 on a term lab w/ 400 watts going to it sure alot of them dont have as good of SQ and sound like a wet fart but they still are pretty good i really dont like them mainly due to they are basically bling... chrome subs and stuff just doesnt appeal to me.... ive got a 15 inch tempest in a 3.5 cubic foot ported box tuned to 35 hz and it hits AMAZINGLY hard w/ only 300 watts of power, never gotten it rated but i have kickers and JLs layin around too that hit hard (not as hard due to lower x max... and sealed enclosures obv) i will say this much... i DESPISE pyramid and anything else as junky as they are... horribly built subs and amps and stuff put the RMS on em and they actually fall apart.... compvr15s on 06/17/2005 00:08:39 yea thats what im saying, im not partial to kicker, its just what i have right now, the name was just something quick that i came up with... but i have heard some cars with alpine systems that really blew me away in sound quality and bass. i was really impressed.... as well as infinity, i like thier subs, they sound really clean and crisp... pyle, jensen, pyramid, companies like that are entry level... the reason adire is as good as it is, is because they are a smaller company, probably started from a guy or group of guys that wanted more because they knew they could modify a sub or amp and get it to be more powerful, louder, smaller, ya get my drift....but if it wasnt for those other companies, i highly doubt that Adire audio, Acendent audio, Resonant Engineering would be around. Buickman94 on 06/17/2005 01:19:37 If youre interested in stickers and banners, why not email adire or call and ask. Im sure if they have them, they wouldnt mind a little free advertisement. gearhead on 06/17/2005 03:10:55 Just get a sticker/banner that says "If you break into this car, you'll get some REALLY nice stereo equipment". OR put a Roadmaster sticker on your car. NOBODY will try and steal them. ttocs on 06/17/2005 03:11:20 I don't see why you would want steal me stickers on yer car either way. I like my equipment, and like to keep it. danielm87 on 06/17/2005 15:35:56 Everything has to turn into an arguement..... I understand that everyone has a different opinion, after all, life wouldnt be any fun if everybody was the same! Everyones comments were respected and understood, however, all i wanted to know is if anyone knew where to find the stickers. Yall do make a good point about advertising the equipment with a sticker......i might think twice about the stickers, but a theif is a theif, they're everywhere and i dont plan on giving them the opportunity to work their magic. ttocs on 06/17/2005 19:13:36 I'm not trying to fight with you, sorry if it caught you wrong. but we call them steal me stickers fer a reason. I see too many people comming in all confused as to why THEIR car was picked, when they have stickers everywhere.... lessismorespl on 06/17/2005 20:22:00 I'm sure if you email the Adire, they can supply you w/ a way to get your stickers. As for your comment: I'm really getting fed up with people round my neck of the woods running around in little imports with systems that show off stickers from the "entry-level" car audio brand of their choice. (Ex: Pioneer,MTX,Rockford Fosgate,Kicker,Infinity) I would not call MTX, RF, or Kicker entry level, many manufacturers are putting out products that are not near as good as some of their 5+ year old products, and in all honesty, can you show me where Adire is winning world championships? All of these companies have paved the way for many of the newer companies.....in the ealry to late 90's, there was not one manufacturer that could hold a candle to MTX, RF, or Kicker...they owned the comp circuit. Pioneer was the very first company to manufacturer the removable face plate, and as for excursion, I really do not believe there is a sub on the market that can hold up to the MTX Jackhammer. Just b/c you have something nobody else has, and it is fairly new to business does not mean everything else is entry level. I was running Ample and Audiobahn in dB Drags before most people ever heard of it.....honestly I the Audiobahn was substandard and although Ample made great amps, the subs were lacking. I'm not arguing, just making a point. People need to understand that just b/c a brand has made it's mark in the car audio world and has a very large following and/or sales base, does not make it entry level......as for MTX, they make Circuit City their own line, their higher end equipment is not available at Circuit City.....they did that b/c CC has been very loyal, I believe they have sold MTX since the Terminator series.....which is a very long time. less ssallstar598 on 06/17/2005 22:48:19 i agree and the jackhammer is also a 22 inch speaker and isnt even out on the market yet is it? although i havent looked into the jackhammer in almost 5 months to see when its being released so if it is my bad i will stand by my comment that these brands arent as good as they USED to be... i do agree that they paved the way to car audio and im GLAD they did, but there performance over the last few years has been lacking in my opinion, ESPECIALLY rockford fosgate swez on 06/17/2005 23:03:52 Stickers and such do send a message to those who look for an easy rip and run. Am sure it would be so easy to track a car and drivers' habits, find a good time to jack the car and be off in less than 5 minutes with the good well in hand. Alarm systems may help... but often that is not enough once a guy gets into the car and maybe what... pop the hood, cut a battery cable and siren wires and then get down to biz in silence? Dunno, is it really that easy? Anyway, yes... we may have a degree of pride in owning some piece of gear or whatnot. But why advertise? Just like advertising anything else, it draws more attention right? In this case, the wrong type of attention can be a costly loss. Finally, another form of attention getting is to boom through our hoods and near the workplace. That also attracts attention. Someone that likes what they hear, can easily tail you around for a while, figure out a pattern and come get some stuff at the "midnight auto supply" store. (your ride) A lot of this depends on the locale we frequent. Some areas don't have many problems like this. Others.... every car system is an opportunity waiting to happen. Swez PS One good thing about Adire.... newer company to Car gear and not that many folks know who they are. In short, plenty of feedback on the issue to consider. lessismorespl on 06/18/2005 07:53:26 Yes, Adire is a fairly new company, as is Elemental Designs, Resonant Engineering, etc... Honestly, they have yet to prove themselves. Everyone flocked to ED when they came out, now you read about all kinds of problems w/ their amps and subs in other forums. Resonant Engineering is the only company that, IMO, has proved itself in the car audio world. Their subs are already setting records, including a world record, and they have proven their subs are not only durable, but competition level. I agree about the quality issue, especially w/ RF, MTX went down hill for a few years, right after the new Thunder series amps in 02, but the new equipment is excellent. As for the Jackhammer, it is available by special order only, and I talked to the Mitek rep last week in our shop and he said it is a 6 month wait if you special order it. L. Hunter from the Detroit Pistons just ordered one. They cost $5,999.99 and they make a set of special amps to drive it, they are like 6000 wRMS strapped @ 2ohms. Kicker had gone downhill also for a couple years, but IMO has also beefed up it's quality in the past couple years. RF is the only company I feel has lowered their standards over the years and have yet to improve. RF debate w/ me all the time, but lets face it, the amps do not produce like they did back in the late 90's and early 00's, they have not made a good sub since the Power HX2, however that is my opinion. MTX took a few steps backwards when they had the Thunder 4000, 6000, and 8000 series, those subs had many problems, especially the 6000's and in the same time frame, the amps were problems, remote turn on/off problems, thermal heat problems, channel seperation problems, feedback thru the output channels, etc....I have personally heard the new amps and they have really stepped up the quality, same w/ the subs, the 7500, 8500, and 9500 series subs can contend w/ almost any sub in it's class on the market. Another good point SWEZ, if you ride around blasting your system, it also will increase your chances of being ripped off, and it does not help in society's opinion of sound systems. I know you live in Detroit(how bout the Pistons!!!!!!!), I live about 2 hrs north in Sagnasty(Saginaw), there are 10-12 year olds that can qualify as professional thieves, and that would include any city in the United States. That is why one should always be aware of their surroundings. Also, for the noob that work on a budget, be very careful about letting a "shadetree" installer do your system, remember, they put it in, so how hard do you think it would be for them to get it back out? less ttocs on 06/18/2005 17:35:07 there is no age, height, race, gender or intellegence requirements to be a theif. It is pretty much open enrollment, easier then community college..... MrBrownstone on 06/21/2005 15:11:13 If you are going to put stickers on your car, you might as well put how much you paid, and where it's installed on it as well. Save the stickers for teenagers. Evolve a little. If noone knows you have a system, you don't make yourself a target. Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
