think the ole lady is going to trade in the lumina and get a 97 grand prix gt... dont think the 15s will fit in there so i figured i could try something else, maybe in the 10-12 inch subs... anybody have any experiecen with this basslink T from infinity

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_3650.html

or would i be better off to get a single, dual 10-12 inch enclosure and just use one of my kicker kx600.1s

im not looking for major bass, just want nice tight clean bass that will still get to a moderate level when im driving... think maybe i should go with a single tempest or acendent auido atlas 12. price is big difference but just give me some ideas, isnt going to be imidiate. thanx guys

the atlass' are sold out avalanches arent yet but they have a slight bit of a price tag compared to an atlas, the tempest is a very nice sub i speak from experience i have one in a 3.5 cubic foot box tuned to 35 hz getting 300 watts and i love it

dont know anything about the one ur asking about though

Tempest is a great 15" sub for $150 USD. It's an 8+8 DVC, so the best you can get is 4 ohms to that Kicker 600.1, ~300 Wrms. Plenty of bass at that power range too.

Alpine, Infinity, MTX or Kicker all make good 10-12" subs too. Alpines work fine in smaller enclosures. The others all prefer a larger box. So, if space is a major concern, Alpine makes sense in the long run.

PS That Infinty Basslink system would be a very good drop in and go design. Moderate power, 250 Wrms is not bad and the pair of passive radiators help control the 10"sub performance at very low bass frequencies too. It's pretty wide though... 41" but pretty shallow in depth. Probably pretty light too. Shipping weight says 25 lbs. That's a plus if you need to pull it out on a regular bases.

do they make adapters for the grand prix's steering wheel controls. wanna put an aftermarket HU in the vehicle but wondered if the controls are usable

Pac makes them, and there are a few others out there. I'm not sure of the price, but I believe it is somewhere in the range of $50-$75 for module. This gives you your steering wheel controls, plus keeps your door chimes and other components working properly. I have had several people come in lately that tried to install the HU themselves in late model Grand Ams and Grand Prixs, and wondered why their front speakers, door chimes, etc.. did not work, this module takes care of all that.

shed ended up getting an 02 old intrigue... has factory cd player which is a plus. and a very deep trunk like 4 and a half foot. so i can easily fit a set of 10-12 with grills on them and still have a full trunk for cargo.... question is if i use a LOC can i expect as much out put from sub compared to a head unit. thanx for the help so far, im just not familiar with the LOCs
