That box is a little on the small side per PA specs. The FBX-10 recommends a port enclosure is 1.5 cf. (but you have to add sub & vent displacements too. Can you get the vent specs on this box and wood thickness as well, from the seller?

Also, w/o vent specs (tuning freq) hard to say what you'll get here. The recommended tuning freq for these 10's are ~40 Hz.

Finally, these subs can be wired series/parallel for a 4 ohm load. Bridge your amp to MONO. A SSF is highly recommended for ported enclosures.

Comment anyone?

I agree on the SSF for the ported enclosure..its almost mandatory for em.

With out a SSF the subs can recieve requencies that are too low for what the box is tuned for. When this happens, you can observe the cone going into oscillations that cause damage to the insulating material on the coils. Below this frequency, the cone will begin to move in unatural patterns and generate much heat as well. This heat burns off the insulation materials on the coil and creates a short or open coil.

Basically, a ported box with out a SSF = blown sub.

I would also bridge your amp to MONO for those subs as you should pick up a lot more power.
