have you considered a 5 channel amp, enough to run interior speakers plus a modest amp for a sub... you say 6 speakers, is that 2 dash, door, and rear?? if so this type will work good, you will want to get some component speakers for the front, seperate woofer and tweeter, amp only see this as 1 speaker. and for the rear a good set of 3 way 6x9s or whatever size your vehicle calls for... if you dont like that idea go with a 4 channel amp, and maybe a powered subwoofer. many ways to go at this, what is your price range, and do you have a stock head unit or aftermaket?

well im hopin like 500-600...is that enough...there are reg. speakers in rear and front and then a tweeter in each front door...thats the 6...im hoping to get a new head unit...the one in there is pretty cheap lookin...

have no comment on the pioneer speakers, i have never used or heard any in auto use. i am a diehard pioneer head unit fan tho.. prefer it over kenwood, sony, alpine, alpine is just as good or better but i like the pioneers better... as for sub thats up to you, im sure you can get brackets to lift your rear seat a few inchs and place a box and amp/s under there. keeps it neat and clean... many good brands to choose from out there, should be able to do for under 600. im gonna goto sleep now but i can research tomorrow for you.

you've got components in your front doors and regular speakers in your rears. does it by chance say "bose" anywhere on your factory sound equipment??

as far as upgrades, a 5 channel amp would be great here. in my entire time searching for amps, i have only seen ONE 5 channel amp that had more than 250w RMS for the sub channel, and that was an Xtant amp that was ridiculously expensive. so figure on a sub that has 200w RMS, and you can go with any components and rears with a 5 channel amp as long as they are ridiculously powerful.

components: JL Audio or Infinity would be a good choice here, they are clean and cheap if you shop good

rears: no comment. i don't run rear speakers in my cars, so i really don't wanna give you biased info!

subs: something modest. MTX Thunder 600 would be PERFECT, 200w RMS, very small magnet, sound really nice. other options could be an alpine type-e sub, which are also really nice.

amp: this is what i would get, it's the best 5 channel amp i've ever worked with.

you can find it cheaper though.

Yes that is a very solid amp.. thumbs up for it...

It Will give you good power and flexibility, a nice small pacakge packed with some great clean power..

as for the pioneer speakers, the new TS yellow amarid fibre series is a real good one, but they are expensive too... rest of the pioneer speakers series are ok, but not as great as some others, Alpine, Blau, Kenwood, Polk and some others make some real good components and coaxials in affordable price range.

I believe, if my memory serves me correctly, either 5 1/4" or 6 1/2" 6 3/4" will fit in the front and rear. I would go w/ components for the front stage and some decent coaxials for the rear.
Some components to think about are:

Boston Acoustics
MB Quart
Polk
CDT
Focal
A/D/S
Infinity
Alpine
Diamond Audio
JL Audio

All the above are very good components and if you shop around, you can find a decent price on them.

As for coaxials, here are a few to think about:

Kenwood eXcelon
Crystal
Polk
JL Audio
Eclipse(Point Source are really good SQ speakers)
Boston Acoustics
Alpine Type R

As for 5-channel amps, all of the below are decent amps and the higher end ones are really well built amps. I found some for reasonable prices, if you shop around on eBay you can probably find them even cheaper....you could also look into the MTX 5-channel, it is hard to find, but I'm sure there are a few on eBay.

Here are some for a modest budget:

Ample Audio( this is a very good deal)

Here are some higher end ones, more exspensive but very good quality:

Memphis:

As for subs, I figure you are going for SQ, a few suggestions on 10's or 12's would be:

MTX 7500
JL Audio W3v2
CDT 1015 or 1215
MMATS P2.0
Polk Momo

Most of the above are affordable if you shop around.

Here is a list of sites I have found to be trustworthy and honest to deal with:
