Read this today... looks like this reporter and paper are really pulling for a guilty verdict for Michael Jackson.

Funny thing is, if he is convicted, his lawyers will appeal as long as Michael has funds to cover the fees or Jackson supporters start a legal aid funds. Wonder how much this case has cost the US taxpayers and Michael Jackson as well?

Approval ratings on this sad situation?

PS New defense strategy: "I can't help it... I was an abused child too" !

Seeing as he hasn't been convicted of any crime yet, I'll reserve any comments .

It's hard to reserve judgement when he acts so suspiciously for over a decade. That, and he paid off several of his accusers over the last 10 years.

I know that it is possible that he wished to pay them off rather than go through lengthy trials, but vindicating my own name would be more important than paying some kid and is leacherous parents $20,000,000 just to make them shut up and go away. By paying people off, he basically fueled his own suspicions.

Either way, his career is now over, and once he has no money left, noone will accuse him anymore. Had he defended his/herself in 1995 or 1996, we wouldn't be having this discussion...because that would have been the end of it.

Shame we are still talking about it nearly 10 years later.

JMO. MJ never had a childhood while he was a child. He's been performing since he was 5yrs old.And preparing probably since he was about 2yr old. Once his career was starting to wane, he had the money and time to have a childhood, in a sense. If this were a 10yr old, it would all seem pretty "normal" (sleepovers, roller coasters, bumper cars, etc.). As one of my wife's co-workers said, "Michael Jackson is the only 42yr old man in this world wierd enough to sleep with a young boy and not have sex with him.".

He was found not guilty on all counts. To me, I do not see why they even wasted our money. It was kind of like a witch hunt if you ask me....."at first they embrace him, now a couple of face lifts and people want to place him with murders and rapist" I really do not think he did what was said, I feel the whole trial was a waste of time and money.

Hummm, the verdict is in, all counts "NOT GUILTY". The defense rests it cases and the jurors had their say.

Frankly, I have always liked MJ's work on stage and studio. A very talented guy with the guts to be different. As for his personal life... he's entitled to his own views and idiosyncratic and eccentric ways. The guy has worked many hard years to become the "King of Pop" and has earned his way to the top.

There have been many reports and allegations about the Jackson family over the years. Who knows what the real story is. But hey, being groomed for pop stardom at a very early age, must have put a tremendous strain on other family members too. Who am I to judge? How would anyone react to becoming a superstar performer before the age of 20? Fame, fortune and privileges do not come without a heavy price. One often loses their privacy, becomes a target for a rabid media and makes one build a fortress to keep the public at bay.

Personally, I wish MJ well in his new life after this media feeding frenzy. The sharks came out to feast, but left with open mouths and empty stomachs. Hopefully MJ and others in the spotlight, will think very hard on what they do in their public and private lives. Things can become so twisted and distorted in these kinds of cases.

Finally, I would hate to be under such intense scrutiny all the time. Not that I ever wanted fame, fortune and glory.... but rather a quiet life with a few close friends and family are all I really need. Anything more than that is just extra icing on the cake. In short, now MJ can go back home, get some much needed rest and hopefully reflect on how others will do just about anything to make a buck. Sad.... sad case indeed.

Unfortunately, it's not over for him. Someone in New Orleans has filed a molestation lawsuit and he's been ordered to appear sometime within the next month. The alleged incident took place sometime during the World's Fair when it was in N.O.. That was what, 20 yrs ago?

"People refuse to accept what they do not, or cannot understand." The people who accused him of doing this horrific act said they were not interested in money......I'm willing to bet they will be filing a civil suit for monetary compensation......it would have helped their efforts if he was found guilty, yet they can still file. Now we will have these people coming out of the wood work from every direction. All seeking to destroy MJ's name for the sake of a fast dollar.

Nobody says anything, it hardly even hits the news if a US Senator or Congressman is caught picking up an underage male prostitute, or was found to have purchased child pornography. Yet we can completely destroy some-one elses life over simple allegations that would be held hearsay in almost any level of our judicial system. I wonder what would happen if some-one came foward about a US Gov't official commiting the same act? I was incarcerated when a major marijuana kingpin stated he had sold large amounts of marijuana to Dan Quayle, the prison refused to allow reporters in, his correspondence was terminated...even to his family, and he was later shipped from medium security to maximum security where he was killed in a fight w/ another prisoner.....hmmmm sounds kind of convienent to me.

Fact is stranger than fiction huh? Have to take a drug screening test to get a job at Mickey D's, but if one runs for public office, it's OK to do whatever they wish. (or so it would seem)

That was an interesting story about the guy who said he sold large amounts of pot to Dan Q. Guess he was considered a "disposable liability"? Would wager there are many other fine stories like that out there too.

The person that should have brought the other 'MJ' to charges was the kid and his family from 1992 or whenever...not this batch. Innocent or guilty, MJ is basically done careerwise, and all it did was make him broke, and lawyers rich.

Now, noone will ever try MJ again because they know he can't be put in jail....even if he did a crime. I'm surprised that the case came to court as weak as it was. Evidently, the prosecution didn't 'coach' the mother of one of the kids to explain HER behavior and one of the other ones was convicted of welfare fraud....not suspicious, eh?

I guess either way, noone will be staying over at Michael's anymore.
