I have had my priorities on the house since I bought it that I have not had the time or money to do my truck the way I wanted. Been jammin the factory tunes for years now. I have stockpiled a couple of items to be put in the system, but never done anything with them. Maybe its time, the stars seem to be aligningng er somethin. I found a good deal on a infinity basslink about a month ago at circuit city, open box for $180, with a warrenty. Last week i came across a JVC- kd-dv5100 shipped for $180. Also found the serious module on ebay fer $65, and there is a $50 rebate too.. Maybe if I start feeling better I'll start on the kick panels for the diamond hex 3-ways, but If I do that I'll have to do the amp rack also... I dread the thought of workin in the garage in the day time heat as it is over 100 here already, might have to start at sundown.

I really don't want a monitor on the dash, I don't need the distraction. I can't decide on a drop down or some visor mounted? Gotta do something to take advantage of the video out on the deck.

It's been unusually hot/humid (90+/80% RH) here in the Midwest this week too. Have had to adjust my work schedule to do stuff in the early AM and/or after 9:00 PM as well. By 11:00 AM, the garage is over 90 degrees and does not cool down for several hours after 6:00 PM.

To meet customers' deadline, have to nap after 2:00 PM and work til 2:00 AM. Up at 8:00 AM, work til I cannot take anymore heat and reboot after it cools down. Naturally, we get the perfunctory thunderstorms around 6:00 - 8:00 PM, have to work indoors and not outside... but still very sticky and warm after the rain.

Funny thing, we get about 30 mins of rain, but the pavement is fully dry in less than 1 hour. The heat build up in the concrete, dries the water so fast, it looks like it never rained.

Very strange pre-summer weather we are getting this year. Don't see this pattern normally until late July - August in this part of the Midwest. The forecast this week has been basically the same all week... Hot days, isolated thunderstorms late in the day, then warm, muggy nights.

PS TT, have proved a well known theory: Plumbers have leaky pipes, Electricians have lousy electricals at home, Mechanics cars are often in disrepair and Car Audio Installers have stock audio in their rides. That's too funny! I guess since we do all this for a living everyday, the last thing to get motivated about, is doing our own stuff when we get home. LOL

some of that heat sounds good from where i'm sitting, we're still under flood watch here and its been raining just abou non stop for the last week probably. the river just peaked yesterday and is starting to go down but it never got nearly as bad as it could have been. its just so sad to be standing there watching all my favorite river side mountain biking trails dissapear under 10 feet of water.

rain, whats that? We had an wet winter which will surely lead to a great fire season this summer... I do not remember the last time it rained though, been maybe 2 months????

I always got a laugh that I had a stock system but yea I didn't want to work on another car after doing it all day....

That's the theory.... "I do this all week... why do I want to come home to the same thing?" S.S.D.D. (Same Stuff, Different Day)
