Hi guys, I am going to do an install on a friends car, a Pontiac G6. He says that it has that thing where if you take out the radio/cd player it locks up. Anyone know how to get by that? Also, on stock radio/cd players, is there somewhere to attach the RCAs? Is there anything different from aftermarket i'm not thinking of? Thanks for your help! So what do I use instead? the amp has preamp- and speaker-level inputs compvr15s on 06/7/2005 13:40:50 have you heard of line out converters? they take the speaker input and turn it into preamp output. http://www.logjamelectronics.com/liouco.html there are many brands out there, did a quick google search and this one one of the few, this site has many differnt to choose from, if you have premium factory stereo (ie bose or infinity) that use their own amps to power thier speakers you may find one of these very useful, will piggyback right into the factory wiring that goes to the factory amp and give you the ability to use factory amp as well as aftermaket amp for subs... not sure if any will help you but the first one just uses the power going to the two rear speakers, and gives one set of rcas... very clean and simple install. good luck Copyright ClubKnowledge 2009 * All Rights Reserved |
